I'm Elyse, an Oakland-based Birth Doula, Breastfeeding Educator, Placenta Encapsulator, and most importantly, lover of all things food-related.
I'm a wellness junky, book hoarder, succulent collector, tea and chocolate lover, and am obsessed with The Great British Baking Show. If you don't know about The GBBS, go on Netflix asap, and binge your heart out. You're welcome.
I love caring for families, assisting them in times of transition, and nurturing new beginnings. What better way to express those loves than by being a doula?! After over a decade as a nanny and home manager, becoming a doula made perfect sense, and I wake up every day overjoyed about the work I do.
Outside of being a doula, I work at Then Comes Baby as a Perinatal (all things pregnancy, birth and postpartum related) Educator, serve on the board of The Hatch Community, and do lots of active and eating things with my husband and puppers throughout Oakland and San Francisco.

Credentials: Through Cornerstone Doula Trainings, I am certified in their Labor Doula Training, Postpartum Doula Training, and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist courses. My other trainings with Cornerstone include Home Birth for Doulas, Optimal Fetal Positioning, Homeopathy and Nutrition. I have attended Spinning Babies and Rebozo workshops, as well. AHA CPR CERTIFIED
